All timber products used are sourced only from suppliers who meet the requirement of FSC and
PEFC regarding timber from sustainable managed forests.
All timber waste products from the workshop are recycled and used for fuel for the workshop
heating system. Other waste products are disposed of in accordance with a Waste Disposal
Policy and in accordance with recognised Best Practice.
Careful planning of timed deliveries by outside transport contractors benefits the company by
diminished costs and benefits the community as a whole by use of less fossil fuels and the
avoidance of congestion in the adjacent streets of Hemyock village.
Quality of products is controlled by a rigorous and ongoing inspection and sampling procedure
by the workshop management.
Good health, safety, and welfare standards are maintained by the whole team and regularly
checked by an independent outsourced consultant. The majority of the team hold CSC cards and
CBL Joinery are working towards all team members to be holders of the appropriate card by the
end of 2010
